Gourmand is Cairo's dedicated gluten-free bakery, opened with a single intention. Make gluten-free that doesn't taste like a compromise.
Chef Ahmed grew up in Tunisia and spent his early years in Paris, learning by being close to French dough. He brought that sensibility to Cairo, opening the first Gourmand in Nasr City in 2020. One of the first 100% gluten-free bakeries in Egypt. For six years a small loyal community ate here. Celiac patients, families with gluten sensitivity, and anyone tired of compromising on dessert.
The Nasr City chapter is closed. Madinaty is the next one. Opening Summer 2026, serving all of east Cairo.

Hollow shells, crisp on the outside, custard within. Chocolate signature daily, premium variants rotating. A small French luxury, fully gluten-free.
Fudgy, dense, almost-underbaked the way it should be. We use proper chocolate and skip the cocoa powder shortcut. Single squares at the counter, 3-pack boxes for delivery.
Premium chocolate chip, brown butter, sea salt finish. Made small batch, baked through the day. Pair with espresso at the pickup window. Sablé and financier gift boxes by request.

Yes. Our facility is fully dedicated to gluten-free production. There is no wheat flour anywhere on the premises. Equipment, storage, and prep zones are separate. This is what makes us safe for celiac patients, not just gluten-sensitive customers.
Yes. We deliver across east Cairo (Madinaty, Rehab, Shorouk, New Cairo, and Future City) via WhatsApp ordering. Other Cairo areas are available on request for larger orders. Same-day delivery for orders before 2pm.

Yes. Gourmand was founded in Nasr City, Cairo in 2020 by Chef Ahmed, a Tunisian master baker shaped by years in Paris. We operated there until 2026 and earned a 4.8-star Google rating over 33 reviews. We are now relaunching from a new home in Madinaty.
